The holiday season can be a stressful time of the year for some.
Wrapping paper may be a small part of your holidays that is unnoticed as being an added expense, however for some, the thought of purchasing a gift and the supplies needed to make the gift look festive is troublesome. The gift alone can be straining on a budget.
In an effort to relieve some of the stress associated with the holidays we are collecting one of the biggest overlooked expenses, rolls of wrapping paper. These rolls will be distributed to a variety of local agencies benefiting families, the elderly, veterans, and other individuals in need.
The drive will run from November 29th – December 13th and all donations collected will be distributed on December 16th in time for many of our local agencies to distribute them at Santa Shops for their residents or clients.
The agencies that will receive the donations are as follows:
- YWCA Minot
- Community Action
- Magic City Blessing Bank
- Minot Commission on Aging
- Minot Area Homeless Coalition
- Domestic Violence Crisis Center
- Minot Salvation Army
- Minot Vet Center
- Independence Inc.
How can you donate to this drive?
Purchase a roll of wrapping paper at the Minot Barnes & Noble and leave it in the designated tote that we will pick up! You can also drop off donations at the United Way office.
